Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sam Kwaak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Albert Steptoe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steptoe comes into a darkened arena with his song building. . kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sam Kwaak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Albert Steptoe! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kwaak shoots in and drives through. Steptoe sprawls well. Kwaak connects with a jab. A telegraphed right hand from Kwaak misses the target. Steptoe has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Steptoe there as he acknowledges the shot.
It looks like Albert Steptoe has been cut. Steptoe takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Kwaak fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Steptoe is out of range. Kwaak misses with a straight left. Steptoe steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kwaak. An inside leg kick lands from Kwaak. Steptoe feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Steptoe throws an elbow that misses. Kwaak uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Steptoe's guard. Nice move by Kwaak! Steptoe utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kwaak controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Kwaak pushing down on Steptoe's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Kwaak thows a huge punch but Steptoe dodges it nicely.
Kwaak is trying to control. Steptoe wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Steptoe keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Kwaak throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Kwaak missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Kwaak throwing shots but Steptoe is blocking nicely. Kwaak looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Steptoe with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steptoe is not content to let Kwaak control the position. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Kwaak wants to take a breather but Steptoe is having none of it. Steptoe is trying to stand up here but Kwaak is controlling him well. Kwaak throwing shots but Steptoe is blocking nicely. Ground and pound from Kwaak. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kwaak is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Kwaak is nestled in close to Steptoe, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Kwaak winds up and cracks Steptoe with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Kwaak missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Kwaak thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Steptoe's head. Kwaak with the ground and pound but Steptoe uses the opportunity to regain guard. Steptoe avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Steptoe is looking for a triangle but Kwaak pushes his legs off easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kwaak trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kwaak stands up over Steptoe, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Kwaak works over Steptoe with some ground and pound from guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kwaak shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Steptoe defends it nicely. Kwaak lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Kwaak rushes Steptoe and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Kwaak lands a damaging elbow. Kwaak lands an elbow just above Steptoe 's eye. Kwaak tries to land a knee to the head but Steptoe blocks with his arms.

Steptoe wants to get back to striking at distance but Kwaak won't allow it.
Kwaak crunches a lovely knee into Steptoe's ribcage. Steptoe is breathing heavily. Kwaak with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Kwaak is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Steptoe tries to break free but Kwaak pushes him back against the cage. Steptoe tries for a takedown. No joy.

Steptoe keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kwaak connects with a nice short shot to Steptoe's temple. Kwaak throwing shots but Steptoe is blocking nicely. Kwaak seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Steptoe does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Kwaak throws a nice outside leg kick. Steptoe checks a leg kick nicely. Steptoe on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kwaak. Kwaak obviously looking to wear him down.
Kwaak swings away with a leg kick that misses. Kwaak tries to bum rush Steptoe with a series of wild strikes but Steptoe uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Nice takedown defense from Steptoe. No joy for Kwaak on that attempt. Steptoe shoots in looking for a takedown but Kwaak manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Steptoe's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Kwaak sizes up Steptoe with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Kwaak scores with a leg kick.
Steptoe drops his hands momentarily and Kwaak takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Steptoe takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Steptoe on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kwaak. Kwaak obviously looking to wear him down.

Kwaak throws the left hand but Steptoe avoids the punch easily. Kwaak lands a nice leg kick that just misses Steptoe's sensitive parts. Kwaak stuffs the takedown attempt from Steptoe. Steptoe gets slowly back to his feet. Kwaak throws an overhand right that drops Steptoe like a sack of potatoes! Kwaak dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sam Kwaak! After winning the bout, Sam Kwaak thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
