PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clark Wayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Galt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Galt's choice of entrance music: State of the Union by Rise Against. On his way into the cage it seems that Clark Wayne has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Clark Wayne seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wayne swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Wayne avoids the head kick by Galt.
A good leg kick by Wayne.
Galt throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Galt throws a poor cross that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Galt shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Galt tries a head kick but it misses.
Galt tries to clinch but Wayne is having none of it.
Wayne misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Galt.
Galt takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Galt looks gassed!
Galt throws a body punch but Wayne moves out of range.
Wayne's jab looks to have found its range, popping Galt under the eye.
Wayne lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Wayne scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Wayne.
Wayne misses with a head kick.
Nice shot by Wayne.
Wayne lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wayne throws a left that rocks Galt and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Wayne dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Galt regain composure!

Galt is rocked!

Galt is still in real trouble! Can Wayne finish him?
Wayne postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Galt seems to have recovered his senses.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Wayne tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Wayne tries to advance to mount but can't.
Wayne is trying to ground and pound but Galt uses the momentary lack of control by Wayne to regain half guard.

Wayne seems to be working for a kimura but Galt defends the submission attempt.
Wayne throwing shots but Galt is blocking nicely.

Galt tries to kick Wayne off but Wayne keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Wayne is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Wayne is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Galt has managed to free his arm - good work.

Wayne is working for a kimura but Galt is defending it quite comfortably.

Galt pushes Wayne off looking to stand but Wayne dives back in and keeps control.
Galt is refusing to be controlled, as Wayne sits in half guard.
Wayne thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Wayne thows a huge punch but Galt dodges it nicely.
Wayne throwing shots but Galt is blocking nicely.
Wayne passes to side control.
Galt is looking to reverse the position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Wayne lands some shots froms side control.

Wayne wants to lay and pray for a moment but Galt keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Galt has Wayne up against the cage in a clinch.
Wayne lands a hook that snaps the head of Galt backwards.

Wayne pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A head kick misses from Galt.
Wayne throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Wayne misses with a low kick.

Wayne throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Galt is breathing heavily.
Wayne connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Galt scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Wayne is pawing at Galt, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Galt's nose. Galt is badly hurt! Wayne pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Galt tries desperately to hold on but Wayne is relentless in his assault! As Galt receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Wayne away and this one is in the books!
