The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carwin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Rozalski regains full guard. Nicely done.
Rozalski pulls Carwin in close to prevent any damage.
Carwin trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Carwin is looking to work some ground and pound but Rozalski has wrist control.
Carwin trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Carwin lands a couple of digs.
Rozalski working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Carwin.
Carwin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Carwin throws an elbow that misses. Rozalski uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Carwin's guard. Nice move by Rozalski!
Carwin is pulling down on Rozalski's head. It's preventing any offense from Rozalski, at least for the moment.
Rozalski wants to stand but Carwin is controlling his posture from full guard.

Carwin is looking for a triangle but Rozalski pushes his legs off easily.
