Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Rios (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Ivic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chris Rios!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ivan Ivic!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Sosuke Kotani and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rios closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ivic circles away.
Ivic connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Rios's hands.


It looks like Chris Rios has been cut.

Rios takes the fight into the clinch.
Ivic keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Rios's efforts to push away.
Rios misses with a punch on the inside.

Rios swings for the body but Ivic moves out of range.

Rios tries to circle away but Ivic has him pinned against the cage.
Rios lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Ivic backwards.
Rios gets through Ivic's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Ivic keeps control of Rios as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Ivic breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Chris Rios will probably get the nod.

Rios lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ivic circles away quickly and effectively.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rios, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
