Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Felipe Castro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Slash Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: T.N.T - AC/DC. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Felipe Castro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Slash Silva! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Felipe Paraventi and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva tries to clinch but fails miserably and Castro counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Castro has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Castro looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Silva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Castro can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Silva looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Silva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Castro prevents Silva from getting back to his feet. Castro decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Silva, up you get!
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva throws a head kick that Castro semi-blocks.
It looks like Felipe Castro has been cut. Castro fails with the takedown. Castro circles away from the clinch attempt.
Silva tries to clinch up but Castro circles away and keeps his distance. Silva tries to clinch but Castro is having none of it. Silva moves in looking to clinch but Castro pushes him off. Slash Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Silva fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Castro sprawls well initially but Silva persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Silva works his way into full mount! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Silva looking to isolate an arm here. Castro doesn't see it coming and as Silva extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Silva!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Slash Silva! A determined Slash Silva didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
