The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bang tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Malek was well out of range. Poor timing from Bang.
Bang misses with a hook.
Bang lands a slapping body shot.
Malek on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Malek blocks a leg kick.
Malek fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Bang is out of range.
Ryan Bang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bang misses with a body shot.
Bang looks to score with a jab to the body but Malek is just out of range.
Bang misses with a right hand
and Malek makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Bang looks to land a left hand but Malek moved out of range nicely.
A head kick misses from Malek.
Malek lands a big head kick that sends Bang tumbling to the mat! Malek takes a step backwards and waves Bang back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Malek uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bang.

Bang pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Malek fakes the leg kick and cracks Bang in the body.
Malek thumps Bang with a low kick.
Bang looks gassed!

Malek's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Malek duly obliges.
Bang is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bang gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jai Malek!
Jai Malek spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a big arrogant.
