Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jin Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thompson comes to the cage accompanied by Eye of the Tiger. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Thompson throws a nice inside leg kick.
Kong closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Thompson on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Kong jumps guard but Thompson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Kong drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Thompson gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Thompson is trying to break the clinch but Kong is controlling him.
Kong working hard to break the clinch.
Kong fails to pull guard.
Rocky Thompson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jin Kong.
Kong throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Nice elbow from Thompson.
Thompson breaks from the clinch.
Kong shoots in for a double leg but Thompson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kong throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Thompson tries to clinch but Kong is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kong pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Thompson plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Kong shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Thompson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kong fails with the takedown.
Kong throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kong misses with a two punch combination.
Kong uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Thompson.
Kong stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kong wants it to stay on the feet.
Kong shoots for a double leg takedown but Thompson sprawls well. He's pushed Kong's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kong steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Thompson. That one must have hurt.
Thompson stuffs the takedown.
Kong looks gassed!
Kong throws a low kick but Thompson moves out of range easily.
Thompson just misses with a punch to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kong on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Kong throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Thompson's waist but Thompson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kong off to one side.
Kong takes a swing at Thompson's ribcage but misses.
Thompson lets loose with a powerful body kick. Kong will feel that in the morning.
Thompson lands a big head kick that sends Kong tumbling to the mat! Thompson takes a step backwards and waves Kong back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Kong is rocked!
It looks like Jin Kong has been cut.
Thompson jabs at Kong's body.
Kong is still on wobbly legs! Can Thompson finish him?
Thompson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kong sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Thompson somewhat.
Kong is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Thompson Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Kong is out cold, face down on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Rocky Thompson!
