The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steele loads up on a big right hand but McCollins slips the punch.
Steele takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Steele misses with an uppercut. McCollins saw that one coming.
McCollins thuds his right hand into Steele's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Steele darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
McCollins misses with an uppercut. Steele saw that one coming.
McCollins just misses with a punch to the body.
McCollins checks a leg kick.
Sloppy strikes from Steele. Those never looked like landing.
Steele misses with a right hand
and McCollins counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
McCollins misses with a series of wild punches.

Steele decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Steele seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but McCollins does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
McCollins is looking for a sweep. Steele is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Steele throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Steele is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Steele is controlling the pace.
Steele slips a nice elbow through McCollins's hands, connecting with McCollins's forehead.

Steele working over McCollins with some ground and pound. McCollins looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Steele thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Steele slows the pace down in half guard.
McCollins trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Steele manages to pass to mount!

Steele is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But McCollins has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from McCollins!

McCollins controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Riley McCollins hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Steele checks a leg kick nicely.
McCollins misses with a double jab.
McCollins uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Steele.
McCollins moves forwards but Steele connects with a nice, crisp jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McCollins throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Steele jabs McCollins right on the nose. McCollins blinks but takes it well.
Steele fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
McCollins tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Steele manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Riley McCollins is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Steele takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Steele lands with a hook. McCollins tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Steele just misses with a punch to the body.
Good exchange - Steele coming out on top.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tim Steele dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

and Steele counters with an inside leg kick.
McCollins connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Steele looks for the body kick but McCollins saw that one coming.
Steele keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
McCollins wants to slow Steele down by chopping away at his legs.
McCollins tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
McCollins takes a jab right on the kisser.
Steele connects with a looping right hand.


McCollins is rocked!
A looping hook to the body misses from McCollins. Steele does a little dance to reset his feet.
Steele misses with a head kick.
Steele lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as McCollins backs up against the cage.
McCollins is still on wobbly legs! Can Steele finish him?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Steele scores with a jab.
Steele drops McCollins with a naaaaasty hook - McCollins is in real trouble here! Steele dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
