Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wilfrid Laurier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fincent LeBlond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying LeBlond's choice of entrance music: Kari Tapio - Olen Suomalainen. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

LeBlond slips under a jab from Laurier.
Laurier misses with a hook. LeBlond ducked under it nicely.
Laurier fakes high and swings low for a body shot but LeBlond manages to avoid it.
Laurier takes a swing at LeBlond's ribcage but misses.
Laurier blocks the body kick.
Laurier takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Laurier circles away from the clinch attempt.
Wilfrid Laurier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
LeBlond walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Laurier checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Laurier dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A looping hook to the body misses from Laurier. LeBlond does a little dance to reset his feet.
LeBlond goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Laurier is looking to wear down LeBlond with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
LeBlond tries to close the distance and clinch up but Laurier swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Laurier ducks down and throws a hook to the body but LeBlond moves away.
LeBlond throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Laurier throws a good cross that connects.
Laurier shoots in and bounces LeBlond off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
LeBlond has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Laurier is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for LeBlond.
Laurier wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by LeBlond, who protects the arm well.

LeBlond is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Laurier has latched onto it... Big trouble! Laurier pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it LeBlond is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Laurier!

Wilfrid Laurier decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
