Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kamal Samchung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Sullivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Samchung might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Megadeth Public Enemy No.1. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kamal Samchung! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andrew Sullivan! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Samchung shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sullivan as he jumps to the side. Samchung has closed the distance and engaged Sullivan in a clinch.
Sullivan gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Samchung tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Sullivan tries to stand and escape but Samchung is controlling the position. Samchung looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Samchung is controlling Sullivan's position as best he can from this difficult position. Samchung is looking for a sweep. Sullivan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Samchung is working hard here to advance position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sullivan tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Samchung punching from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Samchung is trying to keep Sullivan in close.
Sullivan would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Samchung bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sullivan's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hammerfist, elbow! yells Samchung's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Samchung cracks Sullivan with a solid left hand. Samchung scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Sullivan is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Samchung dives into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Samchung is staying tight to Sullivan's torso, preventing him from escaping. Sullivan takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Sullivan is working to avoid the ground and pound but Samchung connects with a decent elbow. Samchung landing strikes. Sullivan is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Samchung working the ground and pound from side control. Sullivan pushes Samchung away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Samchung gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Sullivan looks gassed! Samchung working the ground and pound. Sullivan is trying to get back to his feet. Samchung lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Samchung remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Samchung scoring with punches and elbows. Samchung tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Samchung has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Samchung creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Sullivan is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Samchung working the ground and pound. Samchung is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Sullivan is trying to escape and Samchung transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Sullivan is forced to tap! Nice work there by Samchung! Very nice indeed!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Kamal Samchung! A less than humble Kamal Samchung misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
