Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Elroy Jetson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Escobedo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Escobedo's choice of entrance music: TURN MY SWAG ON. Elroy Jetson has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Elroy Jetson has been cut.
Escobedo feints a jab promting Jetson to slip. Escobedo then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Jetson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Escobedo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jetson avoids it really well and circles away.
A nice inside leg kick there by Escobedo. That's going to slow Jetson down.
Escobedo lands a jab to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Escobedo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jetson circles away quickly and effectively.

Escobedo has Jetson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Escobedo pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jetson tumbling to the mat - Escobedo dives into Jetson's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Escobedo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Escobedo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Escobedo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Escobedo scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Escobedo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jetson but Jetson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Escobedo's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Escobedo duly obliges.
Jetson is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
The crowd cheers as Escobedo lands an impressive looking overhand right. Jetson doesn't seem phased though.

David Escobedo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Escobedo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
