The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sullivan takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Conda throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Sullivan takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Conda moves into range and clinches up with Sullivan.
Conda has Sullivan pressed against the cage, preventing Sullivan from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Sullivan is trying to push Conda away but Conda has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Conda throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Sullivan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Sullivan wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Conda has him pressed against the cage.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Conda just misses with a elbow thrown towards Sullivan's brow.

Conda tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sullivan was well out of range. Poor timing from Conda.
Ana Conda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Conda buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Sullivan blocks a leg kick.
Sullivan connects with a looping right hand.
Conda ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sullivan moves away.
Sullivan looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
