0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lkhagvsuren Ganbold! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Korosh Karbasi! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Karbasi misses. Ganbold tries a head kick but it misses.
Karbasi throws a lazy right hand but Ganbold sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Ganbold pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ganbold pushes Karbasi up against the cage in a clinch. Karbasi manages to break the clinch.
Karbasi keeps the fight on the outside. Ganbold fails in his attempt to clinch. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Ganbold takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
It looks like Lkhagvsuren Ganbold has been cut. Ganbold moves out of range as Karbasi strikes. Ganbold tries to clinch but Karbasi is having none of it. Karbasi is looking to clinch but Ganbold is avoiding it.
Karbasi throws out a powerful jab. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ganbold takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Ganbold uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Karbasi. Korosh Karbasi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Karbasi lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Ganbold is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Karbasi is defending well. Ganbold blocks an elbow strike. Ganbold pulls guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Karbasi trying to stand up but can't free himself from Ganbold's guard.

Ganbold could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Ganbold tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Karbasi smiles and moves away.

Karbasi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ganbold swats him away and circles back towards the center. Karbasi throws out a loose jab but Ganbold uses good head movement to avoid it. Karbasi lands the left hand. Ganbold tries to score a power double leg takedown but Karbasi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ganbold somewhat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ganbold wants to clinch up but Karbasi keeps it at a distance. Karbasi tries to clinch but Ganbold is having none of it. Ganbold throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Karbasi throws a right and a left that both miss. Ganbold lands with a kick to the temple. Karbasi shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Ganbold shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Karbasi pinned against the cage. Karbasi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Ganbold tries to keep at a distance but Karbasi has taken the fight into the clinch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Ganbold avoids a wild elbow strike from Karbasi. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ganbold pulls guard effortlessly. Karbasi wants to stand and escape but instead Ganbold has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Karbasi is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Korosh Karbasi dominated that round. The cut man is working on Lkhagvsuren Ganbold's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Ganbold shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Ganbold displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Karbasi throws out the jab. Ganbold shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ganbold showed some decent athleticism there. Karbasi wants to stand back up but Ganbold manages to pass into side control.
Ganbold has an Americana. Karbasi didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Ganbold is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Ganbold hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
