Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seifer Shinra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Montenegro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shinra's entrance music is Final Fantasy 7 Boss Battle Theme. A fine choice. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Seifer Shinra! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardo Montenegro! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Alexandre Firmino and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shinra ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Shinra fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Montenegro throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Montenegro stuffs the takedown. Excellent takedown into side control there by Shinra. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shinra throws an elbow but Montenegro slips to the side and avoids it well. Shinra in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Montenegro taking a bit of punishment here - Shinra scoring with strikes. Montenegro is looking for a sweep. The ground and pound from Shinra seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Montenegro can do anything to dispel that myth. Montenegro is letting Shinra control him for a moment. Montenegro really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shinra. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Montenegro prevents Shinra from improving position. Shinra wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Montenegro, who protects the arm well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shinra cracks Montenegro with a big elbow. Shinra is trying to get an arm triangle but Montenegro is defending well. Montenegro is not content to let Shinra control the position. Shinra has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Shinra is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Montenegro has escaped the position, nice work there. Montenegro is not content to let Shinra control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Shinra working the body and head with strikes.
It looks like Ricardo Montenegro has been cut. Shinra working the ground and pound from side control. Shinra tries to score with some ground and pound. Montenegro controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Shinra landing a few strikes. Shinra tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Shinra has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Montenegro parries the strikes from Shinra easily there. Shinra is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Montenegro to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shinra moves into full mount! Shinra landing strikes, looking to finish!
The cut above Ricardo Montenegro's eye is starting to cause him problems now. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Shinra wants to control the pace but Montenegro is squirming around nicely. Shinra with good strikes from the mount here!
Montenegro is rocked!
Ricardo Montenegro's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ricardo Montenegro's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Seifer Shinra! A very excited looking Seifer Shinra made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
