Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Taye Silcic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grigory Stensky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silcic comes to the cage accompanied by Jedi Mind Tricks-Kublai Khan. Stensky is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: GORBACHOV. Taye Silcic could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Grigory Stensky's chin.

7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Grigory Stensky! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Daniel Cesar and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stensky fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Stensky slips a jab and a cross from Silcic.
Stensky rushes Silcic and presses him up against the cage. Stensky has picked Silcic up - he's going for a ride! Stensky dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Stensky is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Silcic doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Stensky. Silcic trying to hold on to Stensky's head to control him but Stensky postures up.
Silcic regains full guard. Nicely done. Stensky drops back looking for a leg! Silcic is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Silcic manages to kick Stensky off! Stensky jumps back into Silcic's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silcic looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Silcic! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stensky is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Silcic off and has taken his back! Stensky looking to break Silcic's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Silcic remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Stensky will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Silcic wants to escape the position.

Stensky is trying to stick to Silcic's back but Silcic is turning into Stensky. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Stensky's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Silcic. Silcic got a little sloppy there for a moment and Stensky has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Silcic has managed to get both his arms back between Stensky's legs - danger averted. Stensky is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Silcic gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Silcic wanted to stand there but Stensky had control of the position. Stensky sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Silcic's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stensky is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Silcic sees it coming and defends easily. Silcic tries to roll over but Stensky keeps him under control. Stensky trying to control the action but Silcic is working from the bottom. Silcic works his way to full guard. Good work. Silcic working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stensky doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stensky manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Silcic keeping moving, preventing Stensky from controlling successfully. Stensky thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Silcic is looking to control Stensky's arms but Stensky gets an underhook and turns him. Now Silcic has his back to the cage. Stensky tightens his grip and picks Silcic up, before dumping him to the ground. Silcic manages to land in guard. Silcic looking for a guillotine here but Stensky defends easily.

Stensky passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. Stensky wants to work for an arm triangle but Silcic is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Stensky takes a swing at Silcic's ribcage but misses. Stensky pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Stensky shoots in looking for a takedown. Silcic tries to sprawl out of it but Stensky keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silcic manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Stensky shoots in for a takedown but Silcic shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Silcic gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Silcic as Stensky tries to tie him up. Stensky stops a takedown attempt from Silcic.

Stensky slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Stensky tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Stensky has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Stensky wants to control but Silcic is keeping him busy.

Silcic is pushing Stensky's head away, looking to escape. Stensky manages to hold on to the position though. Stensky has hold of Silcic's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Silcic tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Stensky cranks the arm and Silcic screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Silcic, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:01 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Grigory Stensky! Grigory Stensky was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
