The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mauser closes the distance and pushes Burns back into the cage.
Mauser tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Burns's elbow.
Mauser misses with a body punch.
A right handed body shot lands from Mauser.
Mauser softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Burns throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Mauser blocks it with crossed arms.
Mauser lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Burns backwards.

It looks like Josh Burns has been cut.
Mauser is trying to force a seperation but Burns has the dominant position.

Mauser breaks the clinch.
Burns slaps away a takedown attempt from Mauser, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Mauser misses with the combination.
Mauser throws an off balance right hand
and Burns counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mauser throws a looping overhand right but Burns ducks down to avoid it.

Mauser's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mauser looks to throw the jab but Burns is out of range.
Burns lands a nice looking body shot.
Mauser ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Burns moves away.
Burns uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mauser.
Burns will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Burns is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Mauser moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Mauser looks to throw the jab but Burns is out of range.
Burns looks to score with a jab to the body but Mauser is just out of range.

Burns shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Burns was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

A big strike lands for Burns! That's really hurt Mauser and he's turned his back - Burns keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Burns jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
