Chonin comes to the cage accompanied by The End is Near. Katasonov has chosen In Extremo - Wind as his entrance music. Pavel Katasonov is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kayaki Chonin!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pavel Katasonov!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Mauricio Rocha and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chonin misses with a takedown attempt - Katasonov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Katasonov missing with a left hand there. Chonin was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Katasonov forces Chonin back against the cage and clinches.
Chonin drops down looking for an ankle pick but Katasonov pulls his leg out and moves away.
Chonin pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Katasonov keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kayaki Chonin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Katasonov lands with a hook. Chonin tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Chonin is rocked!
A big right from Katasonov misses.
Oh Chonin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Katasonov has closed the distance and engaged Chonin in a clinch.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Katasonov.
Chonin blocks an uppercut.
Katasonov throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Chonins head.
Chonin breaks from the clinch.
Katasonov clinches up against the cage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Katasonov.
Katasonov doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Katasonov dips a shoulder and cracks Chonin with a mighty uppercut! Chonin falls back against the cage and Katasonov unloads with a barrage of strikes! Chonin is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Katasonov screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pavel Katasonov!
