Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Makka Wright!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Paul Tew and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Wright has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Abramovitch is trying to keep an underhook but Wright manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Abramovitch won't allow Wright to pass to mount.
Abramovitch is staying active underneath Wright, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Wright seems to be looking for submissions.

Wright seems to be working for a kimura but Abramovitch defends the submission attempt.

Abramovitch pushes Wright off and gets back to his feet.

Abramovitch fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Wright to the ground. Abramovitch is now in Wright's guard.
Abramovitch seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Roman Abramovitch just wasn't active enough.

Wright closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Abramovitch to the mat! Abramovitch manages to get full guard.

Wright stays in close to Abramovitch's body and controls the position.

Abramovitch has his feet on Wright's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Abramovitch really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Abramovitch is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wright is controlling him.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Makka Wright wasn't active enough on the ground.

Wright closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Abramovitch's guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Makka Wright dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Wright changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Abramovitch looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Wright is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Abramovitch knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Abramovitch can't do much from the bottom here.

Wright has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Abramovitch!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wright tries to control but Abramovitch wriggling away.

Wright goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Abramovitch is on top in guard.

Wright throws his legs up looking for a submission but Abramovitch uses it to pass to side control.
Wright is breathing heavily.
Wright can't do much from the bottom here.
Wright looks to move to half guard but instead Abramovitch has passed into mount! Damn!

Abramovitch takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Wright is looking to get to half guard.
Abramovitch tries to control but Wright wriggling away.
Wright keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Abramovitch controlling from the full mount.
Abramovitch looking to control but Wright is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Wright is trying to stand up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Makka Wright showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Wright is looking to score with low kicks.

Abramovitch shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Abramovitch perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Wright tries to roll over but Abramovitch keeps him under control.
Still in half guard, Abramovitch seems content to control.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Abramovitch is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Wright tries to hold on but Abramovitch pushes him away.

Wright is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Wright takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Wright is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Abramovitch avoids the attempt from Wright to control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Nice sprawl there from Wright as Abramovitch shoots in.

Wright shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Wright was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Abramovitch tries to hold on but Wright postures up.

Roman Abramovitch has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Wright unloads with some shots from mount but Abramovitch bucks and avoids them well.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Makka Wright.
Well Wright has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
