Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Harry Kozar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clay Guida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Harry Kozar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Guida throws a right and a left that both miss. Kozar moves to clinch but Guida breaks away and Guida counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Guida is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kozar doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Guida. Kozar wants to improve his position but Guida is controlling well.
Guida is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Kozar is not content to let Guida control the position. Guida prevents Kozar from improving his position. Guida looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kozar wants to control but Guida is keeping busy and won't allow it. Guida is looking for a kimura but Kozar is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Guida to get the leverage. Guida trying to pass the guard but Kozar defending well. Guida is thwarting Kozar's attempts to control the position. Kozar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Guida on the ground. Guida throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Kozar to regain full guard. Guida got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kozar has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Guida has managed to get both his arms back between Kozar's legs - danger averted. Guida is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Guida not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Kozar keeping moving, preventing Guida from controlling successfully. Guida passes easily into side control. Nice work. Guida is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kozar knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Kozar prevents Guida from moving into mount. Kozar is trying to control Guida's posture but Guida avoids it. Kozar takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Kozar is looking for a sweep. Guida working the ground and pound but Kozar is defending the strikes. Guida has hold of Kozar's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Kozar tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Guida cranks the arm and Kozar screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Kozar, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
