Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Akira Kurosawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bart Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kurosawa's entrance music is War drums. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurosawa fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ryan scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kurosawa doesn't seem bothered though.
Ryan avoids a kick to the body.
Ryan attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Ryan thows a body shot but no joy.
A good leg kick by Kurosawa.
Kurosawa fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Ryan checks it well.
Kurosawa throws a front kick aimed at Ryan's knee but Ryan avoids it well.
That kick from Kurosawa tenderised Ryan's leg. Ryan is trying to keep his angry face on.
Kurosawa shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ryan as he jumps to the side.
Kurosawa throws a quick inside leg kick.
Ryan jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kurosawa blocks a head kick by Ryan.
Ryan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kurosawa sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Kurosawa fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ryan sprawls well initially but Kurosawa persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Ryan keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Kurosawa is pressing down on Ryan's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ryan is holding on for now.
Kurosawa works his way into full mount!
Kurosawa moves to back control.
Kurosawa is working for a rear naked choke. Ryan is not defending it well and Kurosawa has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Ryan refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Ryan's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Akira Kurosawa!
