Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Martin Grandmont (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greco Roman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Martin Grandmont has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Martin Grandmont seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Greco Roman!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grandmont shoots in looking for a takedown but Roman manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Grandmont 's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Greco Roman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Grandmont with a lazy takedown attempt
and Roman counters with a single leg into guard. Grandmont didn't expect that.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Roman not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Roman trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Grandmont is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Grandmont looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Grandmont has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Roman is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Grandmont .
Grandmont stops Roman from passing to mount.

It looks like Roman might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Roman breaks from Grandmont 's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Grandmont is rocked!
Roman drops a big elbow. That's hurt Grandmont ! More shots from Roman and the ref steps in! The fight is over!

During a confident post fight interview, Greco Roman thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
