Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maksim Nikifor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bengt Andre Eikaas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nikifor comes to the cage accompanied by Enae Volare Mezzo. Eikaas has chosen Jedi Mind Tricks - On The Eve Of War as his entrance music. Maksim Nikifor has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
19 - 13 - 2, fighting out of St Petersburg, Maksim Nikifor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bengt Andre Eikaas!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eikaas shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nikifor sprawls well. Nikifor wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Eikaas gets slowly back to his feet.
Nikifor misses with the combination.
Eikaas gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Nikifor counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Eikaas tries to move into range but Nikifor moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Eikaas misses with a takedown attempt
and Nikifor cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Maksim Nikifor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bengt Andre Eikaas.
Eikaas shoots in for a takedown but Nikifor shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Eikaas shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nikifor but Nikifor pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Eikaas fails to land the takedown.
Nikifor lands a nice hook to Eikaas's body. Eikaas takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Eikaas looks gassed!
Nikifor cracks Eikaas with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Eikaas looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Eikaas shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Nikifor dances in with a quick combination. Eikaas is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Nikifor snaps Eikaas's head back. Eikaas stumbles backwards against the cage. Nikifor steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Eikaas's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Eikaas just didn't come prepared.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Maksim Nikifor!
