The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Thiago Cunha and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freire has a takedown stuffed.
Freire shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silva but Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Freire misses with a takedown attempt
and Silva counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Patricio Freire. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Freire blocks a head kick by Silva.
Freire tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Freire is breathing heavily.
Freire shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Silva counters with a thumping low kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Freire walks into a left hand.
It looks like Patricio Freire has been cut.
Silva lands a nice leg kick that just misses Freire's sensitive parts.
Silva dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Freire. That did some damage!
Freire has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Silva.
Whack! Silva lands a heavy head kick that drops Freire. The ref tackles Silva to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Freire was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Rafa Silva!
Rafa Silva decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
