0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jorge Rivera! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Luis Engracia and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! St Pierre is looking to take this fight into the clinch. George St Pierre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. St Pierre is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rivera sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. St Pierre throws a leg kick and Rivera counters with a shoot takedown. St Pierre fights it but they end up in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rivera tries to free his leg and advance position but St Pierre is retaining full guard. Rivera stays in close to St Pierre's body and controls the position. Let's hope that Rivera has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. St Pierre is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Rivera slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Jorge Rivera hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. St Pierre shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Rivera counters with a single leg into guard. St Pierre didn't expect that. This has been an exciting period of action! St Pierre can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rivera controls the pace.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jorge Rivera wasn't active enough on the ground. Rivera takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Rivera gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and St Pierre counters with a straight right hand. St Pierre's jab looks to have found its range, popping Rivera under the eye.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rivera avoids the head kick by St Pierre.
St Pierre changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rivera tries to avoid it but St Pierre manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rivera to the ground. Rivera escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Rivera shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rivera showed some decent athleticism there. Rivera perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Rivera's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. St Pierre throws a series of punches but Rivera avoids them all with ease. St Pierre tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. St Pierre fails with a takedown attempt. St Pierre fails to land the takedown. Rivera has St Pierre up against the cage in a clinch.

Rivera has his hands on St Pierre's head, controlling the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

St Pierre tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rivera sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten St Pierre somewhat. St Pierre shoots in for a takedown but Rivera shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and St Pierre wants it to stay on the feet. St Pierre shoots in and drives through. Rivera sprawls well. Rivera looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Rivera avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Jorge Rivera showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Nice sprawl there from St Pierre as Rivera shoots in. St Pierre looks for a takedown but Rivera sprawls well. Rivera shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has St Pierre pinned against the cage. St Pierre gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Rivera stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rivera wants it to stay on the feet. Jorge Rivera is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. George St Pierre is winning the standup battle so far. St Pierre stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. St Pierre slaps away a takedown attempt from Rivera, before circling back to the center of the mat. George St Pierre has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rivera takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Rivera shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
And that's the end of the fight! Jorge Rivera comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Rivera winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
