0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alan Gray! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcos Serraty! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Joseph Jones and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gray looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Gray wants to pass the guard but Serraty is keeping the position. Serraty wants to get back to his feet but Gray is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Gray throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Serraty works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Gray postures up.
Gray throws a big right hand that misses. Gray engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Gray preventing the sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gray is stalling in the full guard.
Alan Gray has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Nice shot by Serraty. Gray throws a leg kick but Serraty moved away. Serraty swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Serraty misses with a few strikes there.
Serraty circles away from the clinch attempt.
Serraty lands a slapping body shot.
Marcos Serraty is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Serraty throws a one two combo.
Gray is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Gray misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gray throws a push kick but Serraty slaps the foot to one side. Serraty closes the distance and lands a one-two. Horrible takedown by Gray or perhaps it was just good defense by Serraty which made him look bad. Gray fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Gray thows a left - swing and a miss! This has been an exciting period of action! Gray is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Serraty. Gray is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Serraty's half guard. Gray escapes and gets back to his feet. Gray is breathing heavily. Gray goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Serraty works the jab nicely. Gray is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Serraty. Gray throws a head kick but Serraty moves out of range.
No joy there for Serraty, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Serraty connects with the punch. Serraty scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Gray fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Serraty connects with a body shot. Serraty lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Gray is rocked! Serraty drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Gray right on the button. Gray goes down! Serraty follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Serraty gets the win via TKO!
