Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jon Sheppard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Brett Sigler!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sheppard closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Sigler's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sheppard wants to pass the guard but Sigler is keeping the position.
Sigler manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sheppard manages to get himself to full guard.
Sigler must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Sigler avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Sheppard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Sheppard escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sigler gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Sigler trying to control but Sheppard is working from the bottom.

Sigler postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Sigler controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Sheppard has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sigler can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Sheppard is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Sheppard can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sigler controls the pace.
Sigler really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sheppard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sheppard trying to keep a closed guard but Sigler is proving a slippery customer.

Sigler would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Sheppard keeping moving, preventing Sigler from controlling successfully.

Sigler lying in Sheppard's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Sheppard decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Sigler taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

A relieved looking Jon Sheppard thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
