The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Larsen is trying to force a seperation but Valdez has the dominant position.
Valdez drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Nice body punch from Valdez.
Valdez tightens his grip and picks Larsen up, before dumping him to the ground. Larsen manages to land in guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Valdez wants to stand but Larsen is controlling his posture from full guard.
Valdez wants to pass the guard but Larsen is keeping the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Valdez paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Larsen - great work!
