Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joe Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Thiago Souza was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Johnson drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Souza keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully.
Souza pushes Johnson off and scrambles back to his feet.
Souza shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Johnson defends it nicely.
Johnson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Souza sprawls well initially but Johnson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Souza kicks off Johnson and gets to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Johnson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Souza looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Souza bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Johnson tries to clinch there but Souza circles away.
Johnson scores a takedown into full mount!
Souza bucks Johnson off and manages to get back to his feet!
Souza closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Johnson's guard.

Souza passes Johnson's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Johnson is breathing heavily.
Souza perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Souza uses his free foot to push down on Johnson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Johnson.
Souza fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Souza looking to finish Johnson with some ground and pound. This is bad for Johnson!
Johnson is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Souza locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Johnson is forced to tap!
