The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez keeps the fight on the outside.
Maglayon closes the distance and clinches.
Maglayon manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Rodriguez is pushing down on Maglayon's leg trying to pass to half guard. Maglayon is fighting to maintain full guard but Rodriguez has managed to sneak the leg through.
Rodriguez is looking for a kimura but Maglayon is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rodriguez to get the leverage.
Rodriguez is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Rodriguez wants to work for an arm triangle but Maglayon is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Maglayon looks like he's trying to stand up.
