Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vedad Zilic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gustavo Cerqueira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gustavo Cerqueira will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zilic blocks a head kick by Cerqueira.

Cerqueira throws a head kick but Zilic moves out of range.
Cerqueira throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Cerqueira lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Vedad Zilic has been cut.
Cerqueira is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Zilic looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cerqueira is fending him off so far but Zilic persists. Nope, Cerqueira circles away and we're back to standing.
Zilic takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Cerqueira wants to slow Zilic down by chopping away at his legs.
Zilic slips under a jab.
Zilic fails with a takedown attempt.
Cerqueira throws a head kick but Zilic moves out of range.
Cerqueira dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Cerqueira tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cerqueira pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cerqueira misses with a head kick.
Cerqueira throws a series of punches but Zilic avoids them all with ease.

Zilic checks a leg kick nicely.
A head kick from Cerqueira lands but Zilic takes it in his stride.
Cerqueira throws a chopping leg kick but Zilic manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Zilic shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vedad Zilic. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cerqueira throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Zilic takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Cerqueira throws a quick inside leg kick.
Cerqueira misses with a head kick.
Zilic slips under a jab from Cerqueira.
Cerqueira misses with a few strikes there.
Cerqueira misses with a wild combination.

Zilic avoids a kick to the body.
Zilic drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zilic is breathing heavily.
Zilic looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Cerqueira wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Zilic has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Zilic sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Zilic throws a wild body kick that Cerqueira sees coming a mile off.
Zilic changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cerqueira looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Zilic has hold of Cerqueira's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Cerqueira seems comfortable defending it but Zilic has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Cerqueira is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Cerqueira is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Zilic couldn't care less - he's delighted!
