The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Mauricio Rocha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Progbeniak shoots in for a takedown but Russell shows good takedown defense.
Progbeniak throws a sloppy head kick and Russell moves out of range easily.
Russell will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Russell throws a series of punches but Progbeniak moves out of range.
Progbeniak clinches with his opponent.
Russell is trying to force a seperation but Progbeniak has the dominant position.
Progbeniak works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Russell preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Progbeniak passes into half guard.
Well, if Progbeniak is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Progbeniak connects with a nice short shot to Russell's temple.
