The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nogueira scores with a takedown into Pasmaters's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Nogueira throws a big elbow that misses.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nogueira accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Pasmaters wants to sweep here but Nogueira controlling him for the moment.
Pasmaters can't keep his opponent in guard - Nogueira advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Nogueira moves nicely into side control.

Nogueira creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Pasmaters sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Nogueira goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Pasmaters has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Nogueira but great work by Pasmaters.
Nogueira has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Pasmaters is looking to take a break and control but Nogueira is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Pasmaters has his hands clasped together but Nogueira extends an breaks Pasmaters's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Nogueira.
