The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson thows a body kick. Corbett tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Anderson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Corbett.

Corbett tries to keep at a distance but Anderson has taken the fight into the clinch.

The referee calls for Anderson to work.
Anderson gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Corbett changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Anderson fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Anderson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Corbett.

Corbett shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Anderson's guard.

Corbett is looking to advance position but Anderson has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Anderson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Anderson is nestled in close to Corbett, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Anderson is taking a breather. Corbett says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Corbett is refusing to be controlled, as Anderson sits in half guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Sam Anderson just wasn't active enough.

Corbett seems to have recovered his senses.
No joy there for Corbett, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Anderson explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Anderson's jab looks to have found its range, popping Corbett under the eye.

Corbett has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Anderson.

Anderson connects with a jab.
Corbett throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A slapping leg kick lands for Anderson.
Corbett keeps the fight on the outside.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Anderson! Corbett is out on his feet! Anderson rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Corbett is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Corbett is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
