Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Chimpo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Finley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chimpo comes to the cage accompanied by On The Darkside. Finley has chosen Welcome to the Jungle as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Brad Finley has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johnny Chimpo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brad Finley! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chimpo looks to score with a jab to the body but Finley is just out of range. Chimpo has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Finley. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Chimpo works Finley's body with a nice hook. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Chimpo checks a leg kick. Chimpo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
The crowd cheers as Chimpo lands an impressive looking overhand right. Finley doesn't seem phased though. Chimpo's jab looks to have found its range, popping Finley under the eye. Chimpo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Finley blocks a head kick by Chimpo.
Johnny Chimpo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Finley misses with a low kick. Chimpo misses with a right hand and Finley counters with a nice low kick that buckles Chimpo's knee momentarily. Finley attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Chimpo moves out of range of the leg kick from Finley. Chimpo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Finley. Chimpo thows a body shot but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chimpo throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. The fighters circling - Chimpo throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Finley staying out of range there. Chimpo checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Chimpo misses with a body punch
and Finley counters with a nice body kick. A slapping leg kick lands for Finley.
Finley throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Decent striking displayed by Chimpo there. Chimpo ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Chimpo misses with a body shot.
A bone on bone clash there as Chimpo blocks the leg kick.
Chimpo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Finley stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Chimpo connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. A big left from Chimpo misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Finley avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Chimpo misses with a hook to the body
and Finley counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Nice defenses there by Finley. Brad Finley is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Finley on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Finley tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Chimpo is able to avoid easily. This has been an exciting period of action! Finley uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Chimpo.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny Chimpo dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Chimpo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Finley napping and manages to drive through into side control! Chimpo throwing shots but missing, from side control. Chimpo throwing shots but missing, from side control. An elbow from Chimpo crashes against the mat.
Chimpo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Finley knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Chimpo cracks Finley with a big elbow. Finley is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chimpo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Finley keeps working. Chimpo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Sloppy strikes there by Chimpo. Chimpo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chimpo working the ground and pound but Finley is defending the strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chimpo is trying to ground and pound but Finley uses the momentary lack of control by Chimpo to regain half guard. Finley keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Chimpo sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Finley defending well though. Chimpo is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Chimpo trying to control the action but Finley is working from the bottom. Finley regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Chimpo.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chimpo throws a big elbow that misses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chimpo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Chimpo tries to free his leg and advance position but Finley is retaining full guard. Chimpo is fighting to break Finley's control of his arms but Finley is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Chimpo throws an elbow that misses. Finley uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Chimpo's guard. Nice move by Finley! Finley wanted to stand there but Chimpo had control of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chimpo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Finley is aware though and is defending well. Chimpo wants to sweep but no luck. Finley wants to stand but Chimpo is controlling his posture from full guard. Chimpo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Finley! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Chimpo pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny Chimpo dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Finley throws a leg kick but Chimpo checks it. Chimpo misses the shot to the body. Chimpo pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Finley lands a leg kick that knocks Chimpo off balance momentarily. Chimpo misses with a combination

That's one minute gone in the round. Chimpo thows a body shot but no joy. A big right from Chimpo misses. Finley checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Chimpo finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Chimpo swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chimpo looks to land a right hand but Finley moved out of range. Chimpo is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Finley's half guard. Chimpo throws a strike but Finley avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Chimpo working some strikes from top position. Chimpo in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Chimpo wants to control from the top but Finley keeps moving. Chimpo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Finley is keeping the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chimpo chips away with some ground and pound. Chimpo throws a big elbow that misses. Johnny Chimpo is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Chimpo engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Chimpo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Chimpo stopping the sweep attempt from Finley.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chimpo trying to control but Finley is working from the bottom.
Johnny Chimpo has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Chimpo throws a lazy uppercut
and Finley counters with a nice kick to the body. Chimpo just misses with a punch to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! Johnny Chimpo showed his dominance in that final round. Well Chimpo has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
