Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Markus Clashem! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Anthony Knott! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Patrick Alders and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clashem slips a jab and a cross from Knott.
Knott cracks a nice hook into Clashem's ribs. Knott scores with a sloppy right hand. Clashem should have avoided that one. Sloppy strikes from Knott. Those never looked like landing. No luck for Clashem with that takedown attempt. Clashem shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Knott napping and manages to drive through into side control! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Knott parries the strikes from Clashem easily there. Clashem is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Knott to escape.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Knott can do anything to dispel that myth. The ground and pound from Clashem seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Knott takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
That's one minute gone in the round. Clashem connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Knott some visible discomfort.
Knott wants to control but Clashem postures up. Clashem landing a few strikes. Knott is trying to improve his position. Clashem working the ground and pound. Clashem working the head with strikes. Clashem lands some shots froms side control. Clashem scoring with punches from side control. Knott taking punishment in the form of punches.
Knott is letting Clashem control him for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Clashem has hold of Knott's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Knott seems comfortable defending it but Clashem has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Knott is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Knott is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Clashem couldn't care less - he's delighted!
