Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Pete Higgedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Remington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Remington has chosen Kymani Marley - Warriors as his entrance music. Mike Remington is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pete Higgedy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mike Remington! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Valeri Chadov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Remington moves into range and clinches up with Higgedy. Higgedy really is a fat lump. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Remington. Remington blocks an elbow strike. Remington managing to block the knees to the body from Higgedy.
Remington lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Higgedy tries to land knees in the clinch but Remington avoids the damage to the body. Higgedy wants to break free but Remington has control.

Remington tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Remington wants a takedown but no success here.
Remington lands a left hand.
Higgedy is looking to break free of the clinch but Remington has double underhooks. Remington throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Higgedys head.
It looks like Pete Higgedy has been cut. Remington successfully pulls guard.
Higgedy trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Remington manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Higgedy with a couple of shots from the bottom there - nothing Remington can't handle though.

Remington passes into half guard. Higgedy keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Higgedy trying to control but Remington postures up.
Remington is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Remington lands with a punch from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Remington working over Higgedy with some ground and pound. Higgedy looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Higgedy is pressing down on Remington's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Higgedy trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Higgedy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Remington is one step ahead there. Higgedy keeping moving, preventing Remington from controlling successfully. Remington in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Remington works over Higgedy with some ground and pound from guard. Higgedy tries to land a sweep but no joy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Higgedy is trying to control the position but Remington postures up.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Remington blocks a jab. Remington throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Higgedy's waist but Higgedy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Remington off to one side. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Remington wants to clinch up but Higgedy keeps it at a distance. Remington closes this distance looking for a takedown but Higgedy circles away. Pete Higgedy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Remington. Higgedy lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Remington backs up against the cage.
Remington looks gassed! Nice sprawl there from Remington as Higgedy shoots in. Higgedy wants to clinch. Higgedy throws a series of punches but Remington moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Higgedy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Remington as he jumps to the side. Remington shoots for a takedown but Higgedy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Higgedy tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Higgedy stuffs the takedown attempt from Remington. Remington gets slowly back to his feet. Remington fails to land the takedown. Higgedy closes the distance and clinches. Remington lands with a light punch inside. Remington lands a nice uppercut. Remington successfully pulls guard.
Remington is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Remington tries to strike from the bottom.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Remington strikes from his own guard. Remington has his feet on Higgedy's thighs here. He's pushed Higgedy off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Higgedy screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
