Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Rhodes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshiro Takeshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kevin Rhodes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshiro Takeshi! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rhodes slaps away a takedown attempt from Takeshi, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Rhodes gets caught flat footed, as Takeshi shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Rhodes keeping full guard, as Takeshi tries to pass. Takeshi engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Takeshi wants to control from the top but Rhodes keeps moving.
 Yoshiro Takeshi has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Takeshi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rhodes defends it nicely.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Takeshi throws a head kick but Rhodes moves out of range.
Takeshi moves out of range of the body kick.
Rhodes decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Takeshi trying to hold on to Rhodes's head to control him but Rhodes postures up.
Takeshi is looking to improve his position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Takeshi gets back to full guard.
Rhodes stopping the sweep attempt from Takeshi. Takeshi is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
 The ref stands the fighters back up because Kevin Rhodes just wasn't active enough. Rhodes misses with a body kick.
Takeshi shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Takeshi was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Takeshi controlling his opponent.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Takeshi cracks Rhodes with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Takeshi looking to control and managing it successfully. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Yoshiro Takeshi dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Takeshi takes the fight into the clinch. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Rhodes is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Takeshi prevents Rhodes from breaking the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rhodes tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Takeshi smiles and moves away.
Rhodes shoots in and bounces Takeshi off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Rhodes gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Rhodes throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Rhodes fails in his attempt to clinch. Rhodes uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Takeshi. Rhodes throws a half hearted mid kick.
Rhodes forces Takeshi back against the cage and clinches.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Takeshi drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Rhodes gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Takeshi stalls. Rhodes tries to score a body lock takedown but Takeshi shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Takeshi is working for takedown but Rhodes is calmly controlling the position for now.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Rhodes stops a takedown attempt from Takeshi.
Kevin Rhodes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yoshiro Takeshi. Takeshi is trying to push Rhodes away but Rhodes has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Rhodes is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Rhodes with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Rhodes tries for a takedown. No joy.
Takeshi is pressed up against the cage. Rhodes has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Takeshi down to the mat. Takeshi avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Rhodes defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Takeshi. Takeshi stuffs the takedown.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Rhodes shoots for a takedown but Takeshi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Good work by Takeshi as he checks the leg kick.
Rhodes closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Takeshi sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Takeshi moves into full guard.
Takeshi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Kevin Rhodes dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Rhodes misses with a leg kick. Takeshi circles away from the clinch attempt.
Takeshi leaves Rhodes with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Rhodes doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Takeshi counters with a shoot takedown. Rhodes fights it but they end up in guard. Takeshi is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Rhodes is trying to keep Takeshi in close.
Yoshiro Takeshi has got the better of the ground game so far. Takeshi controlling from the top position.
 That's one minute gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Takeshi stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Rhodes fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Takeshi, pushing him back against the cage. Takeshi tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rhodes smiles and moves away.
Takeshi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rhodes's waist but Rhodes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Takeshi off to one side.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rhodes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Rhodes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rhodes is looking to clinch.
Takeshi clinches with his opponent.
Takeshi pulls guard effortlessly. Takeshi has his hands on Rhodes's head, controlling the position.
 It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Takeshi tries for a takedown but Rhodes circles away easily and Rhodes finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Takeshi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rhodes as he avoids it easily. Takeshi takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Takeshi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rhodes closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rhodes lands in his opponent's guard. Rhodes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Takeshi on the ground.
Rhodes drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Takeshi manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Rhodes has Takeshi in his guard. Rhodes controls Takeshi momentarily but Takeshi frees himself.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Rhodes pulls Takeshi in close to prevent any damage. Takeshi sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rhodes's guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Takeshi is keen to just control but Rhodes is a slippery customer.
And that's the end of the fight! Yoshiro Takeshi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Takeshi has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
