Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dylan Mcgrath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Fisher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dylan Mcgrath!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fisher tries to clinch up
and Mcgrath cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Fisher clinches up against the cage.

Fisher escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A head kick misses from Fisher.
Mcgrath wants to clinch.
Fisher shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mcgrath as he avoids it easily.
Mcgrath lands a right hook to the body.
Mcgrath misses with a wild combination.
Fisher swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mcgrath fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Fisher looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fisher throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Mcgrath cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.


It looks like John Fisher has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fisher throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Donk. Mcgrath catches Fisher right on the button with a cross.
Fisher is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Fisher fails with the takedown.
Mcgrath wants to clinch up but Fisher keeps it at a distance.
Mcgrath swats away the attempt to clinch by Fisher.
John Fisher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mcgrath throws a jab but it's blocked by Fisher.

Fisher moves into the clinch.
Mcgrath tries to score a body lock takedown but Fisher shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Fisher breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Fisher's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Mcgrath connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Fisher scrambles back to his feet.
Fisher shoots in looking for a takedown but Mcgrath manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fisher's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Fisher. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mcgrath jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fisher tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mcgrath swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Mcgrath gets tackled into the cage by Fisher. Fisher maintains the clinch.
Fisher fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Fisher's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Fisher scores with a one two! Mcgrath had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Fisher tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mcgrath swivels and escapes.
Some wild striking there from Mcgrath.
Fisher tries to clinch there but Mcgrath circles away.
Fisher wants to clinch.
Fisher tries to bum rush Mcgrath with a series of wild strikes but Mcgrath uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Mcgrath cracks a nice hook into Fisher's ribs.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fisher throws a right and a left that Mcgrath avoids nicely.
Fisher tries to clinch up but Mcgrath circles away and keeps his distance.
Fisher tries to close the distance and clinch but Mcgrath swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Mcgrath stuffs the takedown attempt from Fisher. Fisher gets slowly back to his feet.
Fisher misses with a combination
and Mcgrath cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Fisher is breathing heavily.

Mcgrath fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Fisher, pushing him back against the cage.
Mcgrath tries to break free but Fisher pushes him back against the cage.
Mcgrath tries to circle away but Fisher has him pinned against the cage.
Mcgrath tries to break free but Fisher pushes him back against the cage.

Fisher escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fisher tries to close the distance and clinch but Mcgrath swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Fisher tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Fisher fails in his attempt to clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mcgrath thows a body shot but no joy.
Fisher shoots for a double leg takedown but Mcgrath sprawls well. He's pushed Fisher's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Fisher takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Some bone on bone action there as Fisher checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Mcgrath tries to bum rush Fisher with a series of wild strikes but Fisher uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sloppy strikes from Mcgrath. Those never looked like landing.
Mcgrath blocks the body kick.
Mcgrath takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Mcgrath misses with an uppercut. Fisher saw that one coming.
Fisher throws a series of punches but Mcgrath avoids them all with ease.

John Fisher's cut is getting worse.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Fisher ducks under a wild hook from Mcgrath.
Fisher swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Mcgrath counters with a good low kick that Fisher was not able to check.
Mcgrath attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dylan Mcgrath dominated that round.
The cut man is working on John Fisher's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Mcgrath avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Fisher circles away from the clinch attempt.
Fisher tries to clinch but Mcgrath is having none of it.
Fisher throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mcgrath's waist but Mcgrath gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fisher off to one side.
Fisher misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Fisher tries for a takedown but Mcgrath circles away easily
and Mcgrath counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Fisher thinking.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Fisher. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Mcgrath swings for the body but Fisher moves out of range.
Fisher tries to clinch but Mcgrath is having none of it.
Fisher has his takedown stuffed
and Mcgrath counters with a straight right hand.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mcgrath throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Fisher crashing down! Fisher tries to stagger back to his feet but Mcgrath just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Fisher asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dylan Mcgrath!
