Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Slick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cody Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Slick Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cody Jackson! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jackson's guard. Jackson looks gassed! Diaz wants to pass the guard but Jackson is keeping the position. Jackson wants to stand but Diaz is controlling the position. Diaz trying to stand up but can't free himself from Jackson's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Diaz decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Diaz throws a nice head kick!
Horrible takedown by Diaz or perhaps it was just good defense by Jackson which made him look bad. Jackson misses with a wild combination.
Jackson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Diaz tries to clinch but Jackson is having none of it. Diaz shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jackson's guard. Diaz passes Jackson's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Jackson missing with punches from the bottom.
Diaz is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Jackson has managed to free his arm - good work. Diaz wants to stand up but Jackson has a hold of him and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz passes the guard and advances to mount! Diaz is working to isolate an arm here. It's a choreographed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Diaz extends the arm and Jackson is forced to tap!
