Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mac Dowell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gary Glamour!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Glamour changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dowell looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ground and pound from Glamour seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Sloppy strikes there by Glamour.
Dowell on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Dowell is not content to let Glamour control the position.
Glamour postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Dowell is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Glamour lands a nice short elbow.
Dowell blocking the ground and pound attempt from Glamour.
Glamour is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Glamour prevents Dowell from improving his position.
Glamour throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Dowell to regain full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Glamour is looking to work some ground and pound but Dowell has wrist control.
Dowell is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Glamour is controlling him.
Dowell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Glamour on the ground.
Glamour trying to control but Dowell is working from the bottom.
Glamour throws a strike but Dowell rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Glamour looking for a guillotine here but Dowell defends easily.
Glamour has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Dowell should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Glamour has tightened it up now! Dowell should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
