Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Masakatsu Gomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dalla Lauderdale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gomi comes to the cage accompanied by Lose Yourself. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Lauderdale there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Gomi looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Lauderdale!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Gomi goes for an armbar but Lauderdale turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Lauderdale.
Gomi seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Gomi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lauderdale tries to avoid it but Gomi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lauderdale to the ground. Lauderdale escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Gomi is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lauderdale sees it coming and defends easily.
Lauderdale wants to control but Gomi is keeping busy.

Lauderdale has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gomi is working away from the top position though.

Lauderdale scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Lauderdale ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oh Gomi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lauderdale looks to land a combination but Gomi avoids it well.
A jab lands there for Lauderdale.
Lauderdale is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Gomi like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Gomi from another fist facial!

In his post fight interview, Dalla Lauderdale started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
