Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ryan Felizberto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kelsey Curtis!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, John Mangel and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Curtis doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Felizberto misses with a looping right.
Felizberto looks to score with a jab to the body but Curtis is just out of range.
Felizberto misses with a body shot.
Felizberto moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Curtis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Felizberto pinned against the cage. Felizberto gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Curtis is defended easily by Felizberto.
Curtis fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Felizberto avoids it really well and circles away.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kelsey Curtis hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

and Curtis counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Curtis thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Curtis has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Curtis is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Felizberto defends it well.
Felizberto is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Curtis's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Curtis's back!

Felizberto slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Curtis is covering up but some of the strikes from Felizberto are getting through and doing damage.
Curtis manages to reverse the position and now he's in Felizberto's guard. Nice work there by Curtis.
