The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neely closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Neely lands a decent elbow from side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jhonson sneaks back into half guard.
Jhonson looks like he's trying to stand up.

Jhonson is looking to control Neely's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jhonson avoid being mounted?
Jhonson has hold of Neely's hands but Neely slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Neely wants to pass the guard but Jhonson is defending well.
Neely has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Neely is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Jhonson is hurt! He's hurt bad - Neely fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Jhonson from any more punishment! Congratulations to Neely! Great finish!
