Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Curtis Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunter comes to the cage accompanied by Black Nurse by Glassjaw. Jackson has chosen I dont give a fuck as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Anthony Taglia and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson throws a head kick that misses.
Jackson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Jackson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hunter swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Good leg kick by Jackson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Both fighters circling a little - Hunter finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Hunter fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jackson sprawls well initially but Hunter persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Hunter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hunter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jackson as he avoids it easily.

and Jackson counters with a body kick that stops Hunter in his tracks momentarily.

Curtis Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hunter drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Hunter advances nicely into full mount.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hunter throws some wild stikes that Jackson manages to avoid easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
