Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Roger Miles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maori Soldier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Roger Miles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Maori Soldier! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miles lands with an overhand left. Soldier fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Soldier fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Soldier takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Horrible takedown by Soldier or perhaps it was just good defense by Miles which made him look bad. Roger Miles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maori Soldier. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Miles, as that shot connected.
Miles lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Soldier circles away quickly and effectively. Soldier looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Miles throws a leg kick which misses Soldier's front leg but catches the back leg as Soldier tries to avoid it. Miles scores with a nice strike. Miles connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Soldier is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Soldier shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Miles as he avoids it easily. Soldier drives through with a takedown into guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Soldier won't allow Miles to get back to his feet. Miles might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Soldier is in close to Miles's body, working some short punches and elbows. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Miles is trying to control the position but Soldier postures up. Miles working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Soldier. Soldier looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Miles can't keep his opponent in guard - Soldier advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Soldier slows the pace down in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miles trying to control from the bottom.
Soldier sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Miles defending well though. Soldier stalling. Miles wants to get back to full guard. Miles is working hard here to advance position. Miles trying to hold on to Soldier's head to control him but Soldier postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Soldier working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Miles on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Miles is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Soldier jumps into side control! Miles is trying to escape the position but Soldier is controlling the position. Miles is looking for a sweep. Soldier happy to just control the position for now. Miles is looking to reverse the position. Miles on the wrong end of some ground and pound. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Soldier moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Soldier working the head and body with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Soldier lands an elbow. Soldier working away. Soldier working the ground and pound from side control. Soldier working the ground and pound. Soldier working the head with strikes.
Miles is rocked! Soldier has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Soldier controls the position. Oh Miles is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Soldier lands a strong strike to the head of Miles. That's dazed him! Soldier looking to finish here. Miles is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Soldier lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Maori Soldier!
