Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Braddock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Duke Gibbons!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gibbons tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Braddock was well out of range. Poor timing from Gibbons.
Gibbons missing with a left hand there. Braddock was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A combination from Gibbons does no damage.
Braddock swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Braddock is looking to land body kicks.
Braddock lands a head shot.
Braddock throws a jab but it's blocked by Gibbons.
Braddock throws a big shot that misses.
Braddock throws a lazy right hand but Gibbons sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Gibbons checks a leg kick.
Braddock looks to score with a jab to the body but Gibbons is just out of range.
Braddock tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gibbons moves into range and clinches up with Braddock.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gibbons tries to break free but Braddock pushes him back against the cage.
Braddock escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Braddock swings away with a body shot that misses
and Gibbons counters with a left to the body.
Gibbons bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Braddock walks into a straight right hand from Gibbons.
Gibbons ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
James Braddock is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gibbons takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Braddock connects with a crisp jab.
Braddock lands a jab to the nose.
Braddock throws a lazy right hand but Gibbons sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Gibbons walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gibbons throws a right hand that Braddock ducks under and follows up with a left that Braddock also avoids with ease.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A big left from Braddock misses.
Braddock takes a swing at Gibbons's ribcage but misses.
Gibbons looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Gibbons keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Braddock.
Both fighters circling a little - Braddock finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Braddock scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Braddock smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Gibbons misses with an uppercut.
Braddock thows a body shot but no joy.
Gibbons on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Braddock. Braddock obviously looking to wear him down.

Braddock digs a good hook to Gibbons's body.
Braddock throws a head kick but Gibbons moves out of range.
Braddock lands with an uppercut that bounces Gibbons off the cage and back into range.
James Braddock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Braddock slips under a jab.
Gibbons looks to throw the jab but Braddock is out of range.
Braddock throws a looping overhand right but Gibbons ducks down to avoid it.
Gibbons just misses with a punch to the body.
Braddock stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Braddock connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Braddock lands with an uppercut that bounces Gibbons off the cage and back into range.
Gibbons is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Braddock seems to be stalking Gibbons here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Gibbons drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
