Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jean Luc Picard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lotus Tinkle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Picard comes to the cage accompanied by The Picard Song. The crowd seem to be enjoying Tinkle's choice of entrance music: Jungle Jam. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Alexandre Firmino and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tinkle wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Tinkle uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Picard throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tinkle's waist but Tinkle gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Picard off to one side.
Picard lands a jab to Tinkle's midsection.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tinkle is defended easily by Picard.
Tinkle shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Tinkle showed some decent athleticism there.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Horrible takedown by Tinkle or perhaps it was just good defense by Picard which made him look bad.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tinkle shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Picard is trying to defend but Tinkle finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Picard has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tinkle is working away from the top position though.

Picard bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tinkle's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tinkle can do anything to dispel that myth.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tinkle wants to stand up but Picard is controlling him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Picard dives in and grabs Tinkle's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tinkle pushes down on Picard's head and hops out.
Tinkle throws a body punch but Picard moves out of range.

That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Tinkle throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Picard shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tinkle but Tinkle pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Tinkle closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Picard wants to control but Tinkle is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Tinkle winds up and cracks Picard with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Tinkle wants to lay and pray for a moment but Picard keeps working.

Picard works his way to full guard. Good work.
Tinkle makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Tinkle forces his way into half guard.
Tinkle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Picard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tinkle is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Picard reverses the position - he's now on top in Tinkle's guard.
Picard wants to control from the top but Tinkle keeps moving.
Tinkle pulls Picard in close to his closed guard and prevents Picard from doing any damage or advancing position.

Picard is pushing down on Tinkle's leg trying to pass to half guard. Tinkle is fighting to maintain full guard but Picard has managed to sneak the leg through.
Picard is stalling here. Tinkle is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Picard seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Tinkle has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Picard tries to bench press Tinkle off him but Tinkle keeps the position.
Tinkle is looking to take a break and control but Picard is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Tinkle lands a nice forearm strike.
Picard manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Tinkle is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Picard is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Tinkle!
Picard has control of Tinkle's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Tinkle regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Picard can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tinkle is looking to escape.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Picard goes for an armbar but Tinkle turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Tinkle.
And that's the end of the fight!
Lotus Tinkle comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Tinkle has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
