PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Akbar Muhammed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Rage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rage has chosen Lava Lava as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Chris Rage was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Akbar Muhammed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Rage!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rage is looking to slow Muhammed down with leg kicks.

Muhammed scores with a takedown into Rage's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Muhammed throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rage tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Muhammed is in Rage's guard.

Muhammed decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Rage, up you get!
Rage scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Rage closes the distance and pushes Muhammed back into the cage.

Muhammed has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Muhammed closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Muhammed stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rage swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Muhammed is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Rage sees it coming and defends easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rage is looking to improve his position but Muhammed isn't that keen on the idea.

Muhammed has control of Rage's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Rage regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Rage has gone for a leg lock! Muhammed slips out almost immediately though and dives into Rage's guard.
