Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Brian Walsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jik Chuyhn Jyu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jik Chuyhn Jyu told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brian Walsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

13 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jik Chuyhn Jyu!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, John Mangel and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jyu steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Walsh.
Walsh takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Walsh misses with a few strikes there.
Jyu throws a nice head kick!
Walsh swings for the body but Jyu moves out of range.
Walsh looks to land a right hand but Jyu moved out of range.
Walsh fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Jyu on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Jik Chuyhn Jyu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Walsh looks to land a left hand but Jyu moved out of range nicely.
Walsh takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Walsh lands a left and a right that send Jyu crashing to the mat, dazed. Walsh thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Good leg kick by Jyu there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Walsh throws a low kick but Jyu avoids it.

Walsh drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Walsh tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jyu was well out of range. Poor timing from Walsh.
Walsh walks forward, straight into a front kick from Jyu.
Walsh thows a left - swing and a miss!
Walsh takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Jyu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Walsh throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Jyu uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Walsh.
Walsh takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Nice defenses there by Jyu.
Walsh jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Walsh misses with a wild body shot.
Jyu works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Walsh, as that shot connected.
That kick from Jyu tenderised Walsh's leg. Walsh is trying to keep his angry face on.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Crunch! Jyu slams his shin into Walsh's torso.
Walsh lands a jab to Jyu's midsection.
Jyu walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jyu swings for the body but Walsh moves out of range.
Walsh will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.

Walsh throws a lazy right hand but Jyu sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Jyu has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Jyu bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Walsh's head backwards.

Walsh is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Jik Chuyhn Jyu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Jyu's corner calls for a 1-2. Jyu obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Jyu throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Walsh stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Walsh tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jyu paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jyu thuds his right hand into Walsh's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Jik Chuyhn Jyu comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jyu has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
