Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kris Striker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rick Diaz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rick Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kris Striker! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Striker misses with a double jab
and Diaz counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Diaz. Diaz breaks from the clinch.

Nice jab there from Striker. Striker throws a right and a left that both miss. Diaz closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Striker's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Diaz stops Striker from standing up. Diaz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Diaz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Diaz content to stall in guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Striker's head. Diaz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Striker works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Striker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diaz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Diaz stands and steps away. Striker gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Striker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Diaz circles away quickly and effectively. Striker scores with the left hand. Diaz knows he should have avoided that one. Striker bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Diaz looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Striker throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Diaz fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rick Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Striker swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Diaz takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Rick Diaz has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Danga de danga de dang - Striker scores with a four punch combination! Diaz is breathing heavily. Diaz shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Diaz stands up from half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Striker connects with a nice looking jab.
Diaz scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Diaz looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Diaz thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Striker's head. Striker regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Diaz. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Striker is looking to stand up but Diaz isn't so interested in that idea. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Striker leaves Diaz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Striker scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Diaz swings widly with a right hand
and Striker counters with a three punch combo that has Diaz backing up. Diaz nods at Striker to acknowledge the strikes. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The crowd cheers as Striker lands an impressive looking overhand right. Diaz doesn't seem phased though.
Diaz is rocked! Diaz fails to land the takedown. Diaz throws out a powerful jab. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Striker connects with a jab. Striker throws a nice looking combination but Diaz bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Diaz walks into a left hand. Striker looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Diaz shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Striker defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rick Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Striker throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Diaz on the side of the head. Oh Diaz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Diaz motions for Striker to come forward. Diaz throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Striker misses with a series of wild punches.
Diaz takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Striker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Diaz. Some wild striking there from Striker.

Striker tries to bum rush Diaz with a series of wild strikes but Diaz uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Diaz avoids a punch combination nicely.
Striker cracks Diaz with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. A nice combination there by Striker.

Horrible takedown by Diaz or perhaps it was just good defense by Striker which made him look bad. Striker goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Diaz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Striker manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Striker throws a series of punches but Diaz avoids them all with ease. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Striker misses with a wild combination.

Striker might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Diaz scores with a nice takedown into half guard. That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from Striker. No joy for Diaz on that attempt. Striker scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Striker connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Diaz tries to move into range but Striker moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Left hook, right uppercut from Striker. Some wild striking there from Striker.

Striker feints a jab promting Diaz to slip. Striker then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Diaz slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. This has been an exciting period of action! Striker is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Diaz like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Diaz from another fist facial!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:02 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kris Striker! Kris Striker tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
